2D ART / 2025
A parallel art direction test: the same catalogue of objects painted with brush-rendered volume, warm bounce light and hand-placed foliage, to see how far a style change can travel without redesigning the game.

The project needed to know whether a painted look could carry the same readability the pixel set already had.
Rebuilt each object from the same silhouette, kept a single key-light direction across the set, and held value separation between prop and background so nothing needed an outline.
A directly comparable painted set — crates, alchemy table, signpost, door, well, furniture, wizard and merchant — usable as an alternate art direction.
